A unique Victorian property listed in:

The Smithsonian Guide to Historic America
National Register of Historic Places

The Nagle Warren Mansion, one of Cheyenne's most elegant residences, was built by Erasmus Nagle in 1888 and in 1910 became the home of Francis E. Warren, businessman, Governor and U.S. Senator.

Now proud owners Jim and Jacquie Osterfoss invite you to share in the rich history and contemporary comfort of this elegant bed and breakfast.

Gathering Room (18K)

Located on the edge of the downtown Cheyenne business district, the Mansion affords guests an easy and safe walk to many businesses, restaurants, the Capitol building complex and most state government offices.

Every room in the house has been decorated to recreate the elegance of the Victorian West. From the ornate wooden staircases to the authentic period wallpaper to the antique furniture and 19th century-style artwork, a feeling of stepping into the days of Charles Russell and Owen Wister is maintained throughout the Mansion.

Bedroom (17K)

But unlike accommodations of days past, this bed and breakfast offers central air conditioning, while each guest room has a private bath, telephone and television. The warm and luxurious atmosphere is perfect for escaping the concerns of every day and enjoying a romantic getaway.

Entry Hallway (14K) Business travelers will appreciate the two phone lines and dataport in each room, as well as the services of the Mansion's fully equipped office. The conference center can accommodate up to 20 people, perfect for hosting business meetings. At the end of a long day, guests can work out in the exercise room, enjoy a massage or relax in the outdoor hot tub.

Join Jim, Jacquie and the other guests for a relaxed breakfast each morning from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m., with extended hours on weekends. The fresh squeezed juice, homemade bread and muffins, yogurt and fruit, along with a daily special from Jacquie's "gourmet" kitchen, will give your day a healthy start.

Dining/Conference Room (19K)

Spend the day sightseeing, shopping, visiting the mountains or conducting business. Then return to the Mansion in late afternoon and relax with the other guests over tea and sherry. Of course, you don't have to leave the Mansion at all, but are welcome to pass the hours curled up in one of its many nooks and crannies reading a book from in-house library or playing a board game with another guest.

Each of the five guest rooms, decorated to reflect the elegance of the Victorian West, has its own private bath, a telephone and two phone lines, a dataport and television.

Sitting Area (18K)

Francis' Room

This room is large with plenty of morning light, thanks to Wyoming's very sunny climate. The room is on the second floor section of the tower and has the fully original 1888 bath and a large sleigh bed.

Clara's Room

This room also offers the warmth of morning sunshine, a refurbished bath down three steps, featuring a sinfully luxurious Victorian style tub.

Your Hosts

Jim has worked in the lodging profession for most of his life and has owned and managed properties in the Rocky Mountain area for more than 20 years. In 1985, Jacquie left her social work career in New York and joined him in the business of making people feel warm and welcomed.
